Lessons In Behavior And Dentistry
As a patient, parent, or caregiver who has a loved one living with a disability, is your office properly prepared to treat their loved ones? Ask yourself this, do you have a plan for ALL PATIENTS who come through your doors? Better yet, does your office have a separate entrance in case the front door is not an option for entering? Every patient deserves a chance, and it starts with having a plan, proper communication, and conversations with your staff. In this course, Dr. Sayre and Dr. Thikkurissy will teach you the importance of understanding ALL of your patients, starting with the importance of training staff in patient communication. This discussion will examine how individuals/families interact with healthcare systems and how dentistry is placed within that context. You will also learn common causes of anxiety and fear and the significance of how sedation works at the practice level and for the patient.
