We started planning this course about two years ago, and we thought about what are the things that are very important for dentists who are doing IV sedation to be able to do? And we looked at these other curriculum and said, what’s missing in this one? What’s missing in that one? And we came up with a curriculum that is all inclusive. We have 65 hours of online content that you do before you come to the course.
We let you do your ACLS training at home, and then you come to Vesper Institute where you spend three days with us, 24 hours of additional in-person education, where we teach you above and beyond what you learned in the modules.
And what we see is, over the three days of in-person classroom, that their knowledge expands significantly.
We go through everything in great detail and the things that are really important, such as medical emergencies, emergency drugs, airway, are gone over multiple times. We tend to be very redundant. So that after you’ve completed the didactic portion and you go on to the hands-on simulations, you’ve got that knowledge, you’re ready to go. And once you are done with that, you’ll go into the clinic and you’ll do your 20 patients. And if you want to do more patients than the 20, you have that opportunity.
We teach you how to do IV sedation for short procedures like a single extraction as well as something that might last an hour and even two hours so that you learn how to administer the drugs, how to titrate them properly, to not only to the patient, but also to the duration of your procedure, so the patient is comfortable the entire time.
And when the students are completed, they’ve done their 20 cases or 22 cases, whatever makes ’em comfortable, they are ready to go bring IV sedation into their practice.
Our program goes beyond certification – it’s a pathway to a more focused, profitable, and fulfilling dental life.
